How to use it
Start from the closed cube, open one corner and let the magnets lead — never force a piece. Our step-by-step first-fold guide covers the crown, the star and the way back to the box.
Collect & connect
Every Shashibo — DODECA, OCTA and ICOSA XL — connects with the others through its outer magnets, so this one will join any cube you already own.
More about Shashibo OCTA Primary
Small, bright and easy to understand, the Primary OCTA is the version we would hand to a first-time player. It transforms through more than 30 shapes, enough to stay interesting without feeling overwhelming, and the bold color blocking makes each move easy to read. Twenty-eight magnets give it the same satisfying snap and shift as its bigger siblings.
Being mini makes it a travel natural: commutes, waiting rooms, the back seat. It is recommended for ages 8 and older and works as a calm desk fidget for adults too. When you are ready to grow, connect it with a DODECA or ICOSA XL in Primary and keep building. Folding rule of thumb: if it doesn't flow, it doesn't go.
